PLA/PLGA biopolymers are used as a controlled and sustained delivery system of drug substances with continuous effect from one week to several months. These polymers are usually used to overcome multiple injections, high toxicity and to achieve the desired therapeutic effect by protecting the molecules with short in-vivo half-lives.
The application includes the controlled parenteral administration of drugs such as Peptides, therapeutic proteins, hormones, antibiotics, etc.
The second field is a medical device such as sutures and surgical plates. We are also expanding PLA/PLGA application by including medical imaging and regenerative medicine.
