PCAS is an established manufacturer of biodegradable polymers for controlled release applications with more than 10 years experience in that field. The main product line is based on copolymers of Lactide and Glycolide. Both standard and customized polymers can be available.

  • Standard grades with 50/50 or 75/25 Lactide/Glycolide ratios
  • Custom services : We are pleased to study a specific development under strict confidentiality agreement to meet your exact requirements by adjusting the following parameters :
    • Monomers : L-Lactide; D,L-Lactide, Glycolide
    • Lactide/Glycolide ratios can be varied between 0/100 and 25/75
    • Polymer chain and groups can be modified [carboxylic acid, esters ...]
    • Inherent Viscosity Specifications on request
    • Purity : we have implemented in-house purification methods to guarantee a very low tin or residual monomers content

PCAS PLGA Facility

The PLGA polymers are manufactured in a dedicated cGMP/ FDA inspected facility located in the PCAS-EXPANSIA API production site in Aramon, near the city of Avignon in the South of France.

Current production equipment comprises stainless steel reactors allowing production from 500 gr up to several hundred kilos.

This unit operates with state of the art analytical resources and under a strict Quality Assurance system using ICHQ7a and GMP reference guidelines.

We also offer Regulatory services and the possibility to write and file Drug Master Files worldwide.  Several US type IV DMFs are already filed for PLGA polymers.
